Unlocking Magic
You'll unlock your Spellbook - and the ability to use magic - in one of two ways:
- Being given your Spellbook by Zanik during the tutorial
- Unlocking your first spell by leveling up a skill (such as Woodcutting)
Using your Spellbook
You can view your Spellbook - and all the spells you've unlocked - by hitting P.
On the left you'll see both your locked and unlocked spells. Hover over the spell you want to learn more about; a pop-up will appear with info about casting, uses and the spell's cooldown period!
On the right, you'll see your Spell Wheel where you can set spells for casting. Drag a spell into an open slot on the wheel to ready the spell!
Runes
To use magic, you'll need the required number of Runes. Check out this section of the tutorial article to learn how to collect Rune Essences and convert them into Runes!
Casting spells
Hit Q to open your Spell Wheel. Click the spell you want to use, and get casting!
How to learn spells
As you level up in different skills, you'll unlock new spells. You can view the levels you'll unlock spells by viewing the Skills tab and checking the relevant skill's progression.
